A Call to Share: Your Military Story Matters
To every active military member and veteran:
Your experience is unique, valuable, and worthy of being heard. Whether you served in combat, during peacetime, or supported missions from behind the scenes, your story contributes to our nation’s history.
We invite you to share your journey—through creating a Military Tribute Display.
Share what you’re comfortable with. Your words, your truth, your memory—these are powerful.
You served in silence. Now, your story can speak volumes.
We create a free personalized 13x19 tribute display to honor and commemorate the brave men and women who have served and who currently serve our country. We provide memorable MTDs that celebrate the sacrifices and achievements of our local veterans in the Reno and Sparks, Nevada area.
We showcase these special MTDs during Veterans Day weekend on Sunday at Immaculate Conception Church located in Sparks, Nevada.
The veterans and their families are truly touched when they see and read their tributes. They connect with the local community, other veterans and their families and talk about their experiences.
We invite and encourage you to share your story and create an MTD for you or your veteran(s) to help connect Veterans and Active Military with our local community. We ask that you provide information that may be found on the veteran’s DD214 form, no more than five (5) military photos, a current photo and a brief history of military service or a heartfelt message to those viewing your display. You are also welcome to include information about post-military careers or hobbies.
To proceed, please click the button below to submit your contact information, and we will provide the necessary details to complete your tribute. This service is offered at no cost to local veterans or active military members residing in the Reno/Sparks area.
At our events, we bring together military families and residents from the Reno and Sparks area.
We display and share the Military Tributes at events where Veterans and Active Military have the opportunity to connect with other military families and community.
Thank you Kolo 8 and Dave Lewis for sharing The Armed Forces Day - Family Free Event happening this Saturday, May 17 from 11-3 at the American Legion Post 30 located at 730 4th St. in Sparks.

The Veterans Day event held at Immaculate Conception Church was an outstandingly beautiful tribute to our patriots who have served out country. Of course, I was particularly proud to see the display of my departed handsome husband. It made me think about how much he valued his country as a naturalized citizen. ~ Barbara A.
It was fantastic. ~ Sam M.
You did an OUTSTANDING job on creating the individual displays. I appreciate you putting the time, creativity, and care into them. Carol really liked what you did for mine.
When someone does something that is done well and/or appreciated the term used to signify that is “Bravo Zulu” or BZ. A huge BZ to you Lydia.
Thank you much ~ Chuck
My daughters and I were overwhelmed by the lovely Veteran's Memorial Display you put together for Veterans Day at Immaculate Conception Church. The work that went into each display table was lovely, and the memorabilia that you obtained and used on each table brought tears to my eyes. So many wars represented; so many wonderful young men and women who have served their Country, proudly displayed.. The "War to End all Wars" apparently didn't, as we continue to have conflicts throughout the world; how sad. Thank God for the brave men and women who stand up and defend our Country, our Liberty, our Freedoms. I was honored to have my Husband and Father represented at your heartwarming Memorial. Thank you for all your hard work. I am so grateful for the reprints you made for me of my Dwight and Dad. I know my daughters, grandchildren, brothers and sister will cherish them, as do I. ~ Sincerely, Kathryn C
I want to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation for the Veteran's Day Display tribute at Immaculate Conception. I went several times with different people. I was so moved with the incredible presentation of pictures, family stories, and displays. I took pictures and posted them on my Facebook feed. The amount of feedback from my friends all over the country was amazing. I brought my 21 yr old son after Sunday evening Mass to see the displays. He was so taken by the displays that he stayed even after we had to leave for an appointment we had that required we leave before him. It is so important to pass these family stories and history on to this younger generation.
Thank you so much for your incredible displays and the vast amount of work your team put into this passionate honoring of our veteran heroes. ~ Julie M
Dear Lydia,
We wish to express our sincere appreciation to you, Ron, Mike and others who worked so diligently to create the beautiful display in November of parishioner veterans who served our country through wartime and peacetime. Thank you honoring them so elegantly and giving each a plaque of appreciation as a memorial for their service. Our children were quite impressed with the plaque and wanted to know more about Dad’s time in Vietnam.
Please forgive our delay in expressing gratitude for this special event. We are in catchup mode after the holidays.
God bless, Joe and Carol C
I was so impressed by the caliber of the Veterans display I attended that was at ICC.
The quality of the pictures, the music, the poignant vignettes at each table of each veteran and their respective story, immersed the viewer in each person’s life. It was an incredible experience and I lingered over each display soaking in the words and the pictures. It was such an amazing tribute to our veterans!
Many thanks ~ Raul and Theresa B
That video and display are both amazing!! Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart.

I am so very pleased that you were able to take video of this event as I was out of town for the weekend. This event was wonderful last year and it seems "over the top" this year. My heartfelt appreciation goes out to all our service men and women, past, present and future. Also, a huge THANK YOU to Ron and Lydia and Mike and Julie for the extreme effort that went into preparing this event!
Sincerely, Debbie B
